As part of a major redevelopment, 400 Record is getting a specially curated collection of world-class works of contemporary art.

400 Record teamed up with Darrow Contemporary to create a unique collection to beautify the building. Art will be placed in strategic areas through the common areas such as the lobby, the outdoor courtyard, the amenities deck on the second floor and in Bruno Davaillon’s mezzanine restaurant.

The tower, owned by the Hartland-Mackie family, was originally known as the Belo Building and was created between 1983 and 1985 by Dallas architecture firm Omniplan.

The 17-story, 234k SF office tower is undergoing extensive renovations. Gensler is leading the redesign, which includes upgrades to the entrances, a new glass-walled lobby, a custom-designed canopy, a sky garden on the top floor, a new fitness center and a conference center.

400 Record is expected to open in early 2017.
