A $105M mixed-use project is springing up in Grapevine.
Grapevine Main will consist of a four-story building with a grand hall, including food and retail outlets, office and meeting space, a six-story, 120-room boutique hotel; a train station; and a 38K SF outdoor public plaza. A 140-foot-tall clock tower and observation deck will be the signature piece of the project at 815 South Main St. in Grapevine's historic downtown district.
Lead architect Architexas' design calls back to 19th century train depots and public markets. It incorporates some historic features, including a 65-foot-long span of exposed historic arched trusses in the station.
The hotel, operated by Coury Hospitality under the Autograph Collection by Marriott, will be called Hotel Vin.
The development is a public-private partnership with the city of Grapevine, TEXRail and Coury Hospitality. JQ is providing engineering services and Manhattan Construction is the general contractor.
TEXRail's station will offer rail transit to Downtown Fort Worth and DFW International Airport. The TEXRail line was announced in 2016, approved a little over a year ago, and is slated to open this year. The 27-mile route uses existing freight tracks from Downtown Fort Worth through North Richland Hills and Grapevine to end at the north entrance of the airport.
Construction of Grapevine Main is expected to wrap up in late 2019.
