Dallas Smart District Rendering
A new 20-acre mixed-use development in Downtown Dallas is in its embryonic stages.
Hoque Global and KDC have entered a partnership to build a major campus spanning from Canton Street to the convention center.
The development will include retail, residential, hospitality and Class-A office space. Mayor Mike Rawlings said he is pleased with the plans, especially since the development falls within the bounds of the GrowSouth initiative.
Phase 1 is to begin in late 2018 and will include 600K SF to 1M SF of office space, a grocer, a hotel/residential space and a food hall.
The campus could include the tallest building in Dallas, according to the Dallas Morning News.
