Considering what today is, we thought this picture apropos: Quadrant Realty Finance?s Jason Piering and wife, Carol, on the Riviera Maya. They met in high school (when she dated one of his friends) but didn't make the love connection until bumping into each other at the gym some 10 years later. Married for six years now, Jason?s treating Carol to a spa day (lucky gal) for two and he's hoping she picks him to go with her because they haven?t had a down moment to themselves since becoming parents to four-year-old daughter,Emerson, and two-year-old son, Harrison. Jason recently closed two CMBS transactions, for $13.2M and $17.54M. ?We're seeing lots of new capital in the market seeking to invest in CRE. It should be an active (more loans than 2009 and 2010 combined) and interesting (which new sources of capital will still be in business) year,? he tells us.
