lauckgroup president Anne Kniffen (on the left) tells us that the women-owned, commercial interior design firm is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. Its major focus is on corporate office design, with a specialty in law offices. The idea factory is quite strong, with 25 people in Dallas, 17 in Austin, and three in the new Houston office (officially opening at the end of this month). A small firm like this means a high degree of customer service and principals who are hands-on. Some challenges in office design today are the growing list of young tech companies that are demanding great ancillary spaces for breakout and collaboration. Personal space is not as high-priority as it once was, but clients look to lauckgroup to provide solutions for visual and acoustical privacy while designing collaborative areas to support this new generation in the workplace.
