Since Fort Worth-based Encore was acquired on Nov. 1 by Denbury Resources Inc, rumors flew that the offices would relocate elsewhere in the Metroplex. Seems there was some truth behind that. Denbury, the largest oil and natural gas operator in Mississippi and Montana, leased 325k SF of office space at The Campus at Legacy in Plano for its new HQ. Initially, it'll be home to 500 employees, combining those from 5100 and 5160 Tennyson Parkway in Plano, and Encore employees from 777 Main Street in Fort Worth. 

Denbury has leased 87% of the office space at The Campus at Legacy (5320 Legacy Drive, located within Legacy Business Park) from developer KDC and its partner Spear Street Capital. The long-term lease allows for additional growth at the 5320 building and the adjacent 5340 and 5360 Legacy Drive buildings. Denbury anticipates moving into the new space during the fourth quarter. CBRE vice chairman Jeff Ellerman negotiated the lease for Denbury. KDC senior VP John Brownlee negotiated on behalf of KDC and Spear.
