Motorola Mobility Subleasing 90k SF at Merchandise Mart

The Merchandise Mart's transformation into a center for tech companies continues with VelocityEHS moving its corporate HQ there. The Chicago-based software firm leased 90k SF at the Mart from Motorola Mobility and will move from its existing HQ at 350 N Orleans.

VelocityEHS saw sustained growth this year due to regulatory changes and an internal focus on safety and sustainability. The company added 100 jobs and now employs 300 people. Moving to Merchandise Mart gives Velocity a presence in the CBD to attract and retain employees, while joining a growing tech community in the 4M SF building.

Velocity expects to complete its move early next year.
