Google To Sublease Out 50k SF At 1K Fulton

Sterling Bay's 1K Fulton is one of the most popular new office developments in recent years. Now its anchor tenant is offering a part of its footprint for sublease.

Google is making 50k SF available at the former Fun Market Cold Storage Building. The firm has a 15-year lease for 358k SF, but hasn't fully moved in and wants to sublease the third-floor space while it gradually expands. Google is looking to sublease for five years, according to Crain's.

Brokers speculate this would be an ideal opportunity for companies seeking space in Fulton Market to have a marquee address to attract and retain talent, while waiting for nearby office developments to deliver. Google expects to occupy 300k SF by the end of the year. [Crain's]
