| Family owned and operated vegetable processor Allens Inc. acquired the former Ranch Style Beans factory in Fort Worth as the site for its newest canning plant. Headquartered in Siloam Springs, Ark., the company purchased the 20-acre, 212k SF facility at 1734 East El Paso and plans to be operational by June 15. Founded in 1926, the company is one of the largest, privately held vegetable processing companies in the US. Fort Worth Chamber ED EVP David Berzina says the selection to set up a new plant affirms Fort Worth's pull for expansions and relocations: central location, established transportation infrastructure, ample workforce, and quality of life. |
