C.H. Robinson, Sterling Bay's first tenant at its Lincoln Yards development in the North Branch Industrial Corridor, will move into its new headquarters building in July. Sterling Bay and Skender started construction of the 207K SF office for the logistics and supply chain provider this week.
This is an adaptive reuse of the former Gutmann Leather building at 1511 West Webster. Sterling Bay bought the building and the Lakin General Tire sites in July 2015 — Sterling Bay's first acquisitions in what is now the 70-acre Lincoln Yards site. C.H. Robinson signed a 15-year lease in October 2015.
Skender is building a technology-rich office space to foster a collaborative work environment, including open workstations, private offices and conference rooms. Amenities will include a 5K SF rooftop terrace, a café and an open atrium that cuts through all four floors of the firm’s space.
Skender and Sterling Bay are working with SOM and Vocon on the project. The two are frequent collaborators, including on Sterling Bay's new headquarters in Fulton West.
