| Illinois Film Office's Todd Lysic and Chicago Film Office's Richard Moskal, as well as producer Steve Jones (The Promotion, Merry Gentleman), Prime Realty's Susan Hammer, and location scout James McAlister, spoke at the luncheon. Todd noted that Illinois' 30% tax refund for filming in the state attracted the Johnny Depp vehicle Public Enemy, which opens next week. Susan's building, 330 N. Wabash, was used in The Dark Knight, and she says tenants weren't affected much because the crew communicated when services would be disrupted. Although, we're not sure how well we'd focus with Christian Bale running around. | |

| Doing some of their own stunts are Rex Electric's Frank Zator, Matt Flanagan, and Will Sutila. Will is skydiving for his first time next month. Matt has already been a few times, and Frank used to do it in the 70s. On the business front, Rex is growing its healthcare practice with projects at Northwestern, Rush, and Central DuPage, as well as recently completing the Fox News center at 205 N. Michigan. Let's hope the skydiving, hospitals, and news aspects never have to meet. |
