| CoreNet celebrated the warm weather with drinks on the rooftop of OWP/P's offices at 111 W. Washington. Everyone was there (we heard Brett Favre would've been, but something came up), and they all had news to share! |
We snapped Opus North's John Dunneback, CoreNet guest Lisa Schultz, and Osman Construction Corp.'s Jordana Parker teetering near the edge. John tells us that Opus recently leased 165k-SF at the Landmark V building in Downers Grove to DeVry. Jordana says that Osman built Chicago's first green Walgreens (seems like a logical fit) at California and Diversey, complete with green roof. |
Also in on the green movement was Cubellis' Jeffrey Liggett, here with CBRE's Ralph Gilbertsen, Pepper Construction's Tim Weidman, and Partners by Design, Inc.'s Andrea Martin. Cubellis is working on a LEED-Silver parking garage at Kinzie and Clark Streets. It'll only use building materials created within a 500 mile radius. (Also, we hear the heat expended by angry SUV?ers who can't fit into compact spots will be used to power the lights.) |
