Turkey Day Winners

We asked for Turkey Day tradition snaps and the results are in. Podolsky|Circle CORFAC International's Alissa Adler sent us this pic of candles from her childhood in the '70s that she likes to put out every year. She lit the pilgrim and melted his hat a long time ago, but we agree with her that it adds character. And Mr. Pilgrim better take cover, because her client's year-end office loan closing may cause a few sparks.

With his fiancee (Ted Moudis Associates' Rika Semba) in Tokyo visiting her mom, Power Construction's Patrick Donley was solo cooking the Thanksgiving feast for his family. He decided to grill the turkey to keep the oven open for baking side dishes. All went well, he says, except it took 4.5 hours to grill instead of the expected 3 hours, resulting in a very late dinner. Patrick's seeing an especially active construction market in the hospitality and apartment sectors. He and Alissa both win free tickets to an upcoming Bisnow event.
