Developers at ProLogis have done some of the year's biggest industrial deals, eg, the 218k-SF deal for Sanyo Logistics Corp. in ProLogis Park 55. The company resumed development activities in 3Q this year, but it's also working on a new initiative to install solar panels on existing and new buildings in its 18 worldwide markets, says First VP  John Picchiotti, here with SVP Dave Riefe. They already have 7.2M-SF of solar panels on 20 buildings worldwide, generating enough power for 1,100 houses. (But perhaps our camera flash missed the memo.)

John, one of 26 Chicago employees, is focusing growth on pre-leased  and  build-to-suit development in the coming year. He tells us he's keen on personal relationships, even in a very organized global company.
