STARTING BID FOR MOTOR CLUB: $500K

Negotiations have failed to make the former Chicago Motor Clubbuilding at 68 E Wacker into a Virgin Hotel, and now the US Bankruptcy Court is putting it up for auction. Rick Levin & Associates is set to auction the property at the InterContiental Hotel O'Hare on June 23 with a starting bid of $500k. The Art Deco building was designed by Holabird and Root and rehabbed into office space in 1989. The 85k SF structure includes a 10k SF vacant site just to its west.
