Yesterday, Beitler Commercial Real Estate's Paul Beitler spoke at the Young Real Estate Professionals luncheon at DePaul and touched on what to expect over the course of their careers: change,uncertainty, and fear. (Tomorrow?s lesson: Run, run for your lives!) Luckily, he also touched on how all those can lead to opportunity, like the one he had to build the not yet financed 301 S. Wacker, modeled above. The building had been partially sold to Marriott before the lending crisis last year.

Taking notes on Paul's lecture were Sarah Drumgould, Syndicated Equities' Isaac Metzger, Wells Fargo's Gabe Horstick, and IBT Development's Bradley Feller. Isaac just finished the syndication of a new high rise apartment building at U. of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Bradley says we've taken his picture three times, and  he's never made it in. Not sure how this one slipped past.
