| Len, best known for his work on the Cantera Development along I-88, says only four nominations came in that year in the midst of the S&L crisis, so he and other members of the events board made up the nominations and picked the winners so the awards wouldn't fall by the wayside. | They may have struck out on the awards front this year, but Golub's Jeffrey Balkansky, Elia Osterholt, Bridgette Battle, and Melissa Hasan were out to congratulate their competitors. Bridgette and Melissa are striving for a LEED-EBOM certification on the building they manage together, 33 N. LaSalle. They've completed an awning retrofit to reduce the heat from light coming into the building (and here we thought awnings were just to keep the rain off) and are revamping the recycling program. Elia manages Streeter Place apartments and is busy decorating for the holidays. | |
| Celebrating a win as Developer of the Year for NAIOP's national awards, Alter 360's Nick Kyriazes and Jeff Ludwig flank Alter Asset Management's Christine Spasoft and The Alter group's Bryan Farquahan, Matt Ward, and Renata Pasmanik. The Alter Group received the award for its conservative approach to development in the healthcare and office arenas. Matt is currently working with White Oak Realty to develop 625 W. Adams, a 490k SF building in the West Loop looking for tenants and financing. |
