With a 2014 compensation of $3.6M, MB Financial CEO Mitchell Feiger is the city's highest-paid commercial bank chief. Mitchell's compensation last year was up 24% from 2013, thanks in part to MB Financial's $680M acquisition of the parent of Cole Taylor Bank, according to Crain's Chicago Business. The second-highest-earning commercial bank chief, Wintrust Financial's Edward Wehmer and PrivateBancorp's Larry Richman, each received about $3.1M in pay last year. Larry was previously the most highly compensated bank CEO. Despite gains, MB Financial is still the smallest of the three banks, with $14.6B in assets, versus PrivateBancorp's $15.6B and Wintrust's $20B. [Crain's]
