HH GREGG PICKS LOCAL CONTRACTOR

Englewood Construction landed the deal to build out the 22k SFformer Circuit City at 3150 Tonti Dr in Joliet for HH Gregg. Last month, the Indianapolis-based retailer announced plans to open 20 locations in the Chicago area this fall. Englewood's Chuck Taylortells us the bid process was competitive, with the retailer mostly picking out-of-town contractors so far. Englewood will do a completegut (though HH Gregg is also an electronics store, so they might salvage a few outlets), interior build-out, and facade replacement of the store near Louis Joliet Mall. Known for its work with American Girl Stores, Englewood is also finishing a Trader Joe's in Lakeview.
