Golfing With CREW (Lunching, Actually)

Yesterday  we stopped by the Glen Golf Club to chat with CREW Chicago members as they fortifiedthemselves with lunch before hitting the links. It was the organization's third annual golf outing, and they couldn't have picked a better day—unlike last week, when all of the participants would have been chasing golf balls in the extreme heat. MB Financial Bank commercial banking officer Ashley Kockler, here with CRE attorney Rachel Bates of Latham & Watkins, tells us her game is definitely better at 80 degrees.
 
Paine/Wetzel senior associate Adam Karrasdoes many of his deals, which involve industrial properties, in Northwest Indiana. That part of the metro area, he tells us, used to be the Rodney Dangerfield of Chicagoland. (Have you met his broker? Vinnie Boombatz, REALTOR, ABR, SRES.) These days, however, businesses are more interested in locating there because of its lower cost of doing business, even though it still has that same great Chicago-area infrastructure.
InterfaceFLOR VP-Midwest Anne Cleary, SmithGroup director of biz dev Rana Lee, and CBRE director Julie Ford. Julie's working on healthcare project management and says the specialty is keeping her plenty busy.
