Elissa Morgante and Fred Wilson

Morgante Wilson Architects’ Elissa Morgante and Fred Wilson are Cupid’s dream team. For more than 25 years, they’ve been designing for commercial and residential, raising their beautiful children, and taking some fabulous vacations. (Above left, they celebrated Fred’s birthday last month along the beach in Sarasota, Fla.) While they don’t have much time for sleep (their biopic would be called “Sleepless in Evanston”), they love being on the go (at work and at home) together.

Here they are at the groundbreaking of Fifield Cos’ E2 in downtown Evanston, where Morgante Wilson Architects serves as interiors architect. Juggling business with pleasure for nearly three decades is no small feat. But when you’re passionate about your profession and your partner, that’s where the magic happens. “Building and working with Elissa is the joy of my life,” Fred says.
