BEEN AROUND THE BLOCK

For nearly 100 years, Jenner & Block has not shied from tough transactions. J&B's Don Resnick  repped Joseph Freed & Associates in the Block 37 foreclosure and GM  in reorganizing its real estate after bankruptcy. Plus, he helped negotiate for the firm’s new 410k-SF space at 353 N. Clark. (OK, so that wasn't as dramatic but it sure was to the 700 Jenner employees who use the space.)

Don tells us a slow market hasn’t been a big detriment to the firm's 12 real estate lawyers based in the new N. Clark office, it's on the 28th, 29th and 35th-45th floors, and as one of the anchor tenants, working with owner-occupier Mesirow Financial, it had input into some design features. Don says he loves coming to work not just because of the space, but also because he has the opportunity to work with tenants he really likes.
