A 10.5-acre site behind SouthPark Towers on Fairview Road has been approved for a mixed-use project called Liberty SouthPark, which will be developed by Liberty Healthcare Management. The property will include five buildings with residential units of varying care levels, along with retail and medical uses.
Approved site plans indicate that Liberty will develop 214 apartments, 338 independent living units, 58 assisted living units and a 75-room hotel, the Charlotte Business Journal reports. About 113k SF of retail, office and restaurant uses are also planned, with a condition that some nonresidential uses may be converted to residential if necessary. [CBJ]
