Beacon Partners, in partnership with York County, broke ground on Carolina Place, a spec industrial building near the I-77/Highway 160 interchange in Fort Mill. Situated on nearly eight acres, the property will offer 50k SF for sale or lease, expandable to more than 60k SF. "Flexible spec space is in demand across the Charlotte region,” explains York County director of economic development David Swenson. It's the second spec project in the last nine months for Beacon in York County; recently the company completed the 277k SF Riverwalk Commerce Center, which is partially leased to logistics company Exel.
