Dual-Branded Hotel Underway Near Charlotte Douglas

Work has started on a dual-branded hotel near Charlotte Douglas International Airport. The property, at 2227 Cascade Pointe Blvd., will include 107 rooms for Tru by Hilton and 112 rooms for the Hampton by Hilton.

Owner Naman Hotels bought the 4.2-acre site in 2015 for $1.8M, the Charlotte Observer reports. The new hotels will open by the end of 2018.

Each brand will have its own lobby and dining area, and Tru by Hilton in particular has been designed to cater to tech-oriented travelers. Hilton launched the brand last year.

For instance, the Tru by Hilton property will feature a "social media wall," guests will be able to check in with their phones, tablets will be available in places like the gym and lobby, and there will be charging stations and accessibility to outlets throughout the hotel.
