Target Corp paid $18M to acquire the land on which its South Bay Center store sits. The retail giant also acquired the landlord's interest in the building, which is at 7 Allstate Rd in Dorchester.
According to the company, it doesn't have any plans for additions or expansions at that location, the Boston Business Journal reports. Edens Inc has proposed a mixed-use development on 10 adjacent acres, featuring 115k SF of commercial space, including retail, plus a cinema, hotel and apartments. [BBJ]
