Retail behemoth Amazon is planning its second physical bookstore in Massachusetts. The bookstore will be at MarketStreet Lynnfield, an open-air retail property off Route 128 in the North Shore. The company is hiring staff for the store, though an exact opening date hasn't been announced, the Boston Business Journal reports.
Amazon's other brick-and-mortar location, which is also in the planning stages, will be a bookstore at Legacy Place in Dedham. WS Development developed both properties. The company's first such store was in Seattle in 2015, and there are others in San Diego and Portland. Besides the Boston area, future openings will be in metro New York and Chicago. [BBJ]
