"We'll do anything for food" is our motto at Bisnow, so we held our firstSchmoozarama over breakfast, yesterday at the City Club. Thanks to headliners Jeff Neal and Michael Darby, the rock star co-founders of Monument Realty, our debut brought out 100 of you loyal readers, and we hereby threaten to do more.

Jeff and Michael (holding microphone) may be at the top of their development game, but they're also nice guys who arrived early, mingled like networking pros, then sat on stools telling lots of their life stories and lessons. Dr. Phil would have been proud. Of course, what happens at a Bisnow Schoozarama must stay there. It's not just that the stories are just too lurid for family e-mails. We also need to give you need incentive to attend in person next time. But of course we have pictures:

Schmoozing before the program are Bognet Construction's Jennifer Bognet, Tomkins' James Tolbert and George Kreis, and Gensler's Jeff Barber. The latter three tell me they're about to do something you normally associate with lunar eclipses. They're involved in the Gaylord Hotel construction at National Harbor, and are planning to set their alarm clocks for 2 AM on April 18 to go out and watch special cranes lift a 220 foot long truss that will hold the atrium's glass ceiling. (It's done at that hour because that's when there's minimum breeze.)
