WeWork, the flexible office floorspace business, has signed its third and largest deal so far in Birmingham.

WeWork will welcome members to the 97K SF Six Brindleyplace when it opens for business in early 2020.

WeWork will begin a refurbishment of the building immediately.

The letting follows deals for 81K SF at Louisa Ryland House, and 55K SF at Nuveen's 55 Colmore Row.

"Our hope is that our community across the UK and Ireland — which is now 50,000 members strong — will benefit from having access to our spaces in Birmingham, a city which has proven to be very attractive for entrepreneurs, startups and large businesses. We’re looking forward to welcoming our members to the space next year," said Mary Finnigan, WeWork's head of EMEA transactions.

This is not the end of WeWork's Birmingham acquisition spree.

"We continue to work with WeWork in the city and are actively progressing further acquisitions, which will create more great locations for its members to enjoy," JLL Director of Tenant Representation Kelvin Craddock said.

Avison Young and Savills acted on behalf of Six Brindleyplace asset manager Hines.
