Yesterday, distributors Motion Industries leased 60k SF at 78k SF 8840 Kelso Dr in Rossville. Tenant rep Allan Riorda of KLNB (with son Patrick on their recent trip to Alaska; we love the galoshes) tells us Motion started out three months ago with a shortlist of five buildings, deciding on Kelso Dr because of its layout and proximityto I-83 and I-95. The move will consolidate Motion?s locations in south Baltimore at 1131 Wilso Dr and York, Pa. at 560 Maryland Ave.Velocity in the industrial tenant market is increasing, Allan says, because tenants that signed short-term renewals in 2007 and 2008 are back in the market. Allan doesn?t expect any rent spikes this year, but is looking for healthy growth in well-located submarkets (especially those near BRAC locations).
