| More big scissors cut a swath across the Metroplex with the Tektronix Communications ribbon cutting on Thursday at its 185k SF office building at 3033 Hwy. 190 in Plano. Tektronix moved 475 employees into its new HQ (also Plano's first LEED Gold building) this past weekend. Cushman & Wakefield's Mike Wyatt brokered the deal and tells us that during his 26 years in the industry and more than 1,200 deals worldwide, this is his "signature deal." Throughout the 18-month process, Tektronix leaders considered 26 market opportunities across three counties and five municipalities before selecting this location. |
| Cushman & Wakefield's Randy Thompson, Matt McGeath, and Mike. Randy led the project management, and Matt was the day-to-day manager. Matt tells us that by the time the additional space is complete, he and his wife will have had two children in the span of the overall construction of the project. But, Tektronix isn't done yet: the firm's leadership already made plans to build-out another 12k SF. Mike adds that this site meets Tektronix's desire to gain efficiencies and footprint by transitioning from a vertical office space to a horizontal layout, and is one of the best examples of right-sizing he's seen in the market. |
