DCI Engineers Reinforces Its West Coast Presence

DCI Engineers presidentRoger Heeringasays thatcivil and structural engineering are its main disciplines, but the company offers adiverse menu from both a geographic and project perspective. Like expanding the football stadium at Washington State University; redoing a23-story Embassy Suites hotel in Seattle; and reimagining two high-rises in LA, including the23-story LA LiveMarriott. The newDCI Irvine office opened in Novemberand immediately began expanding due to great demand. Projects includeThe University of California Irvine School of Business, and the1.7M SF Park Place(right across the street from the DCI office). Roger says that LA is keeping the firm busy in apartments, hotels, and schools. In San Francisco, astudent housing project and an office buildingare currently in the works, and DCI isclosing on a merger deal with a small firm that will launchDCI San Francisco.
