MailChimp Expanding at Ponce City Market Three Years Into Lease

One of Ponce City Market's debut office tenants is already expanding.

MailChimp is inking a lease on the top floor with an additional 18K SF, a deal that can accommodate an additional 100 employees, according to the Atlanta Business Chronicle.

MailChimp — which was one of the first office tenants at the $200M mixed-use redevelopment in Midtown — inked a deal for 115K SF in 2013. The email marketing firm has been in growth mode in recent years. The company generated about $400M in revenue in 2016 and has a profit margin at 50%, according to the ABC.

The Atlanta-based company, which has more than 700 employees, recently built out 9K SF at its former headquarters in the Means Street warehouse district.
