NCR Corp is moving from Duluth to Midtown. The company announced late Tuesday that its new world HQ will be Centergy North at Technology Square on Spring Street. While details were not released, it's expected to open as early as 2017. In addition, company officials announced that NCR would also have a corporate location somewhere in the "northern suburbs." NCR's Kevin Ruane declined to elaborate as to whether the northern suburb campus would be in Duluth, where NCR currently has its main presence.
Even without comment from NCR, it's widely expected that it will relocate some if not all of its software and tech developers to Midtown so the company could better access the brain power in Georgia Tech. NCR officials did say the suburban location would be in a place that would attract talent from the rest of metro Atlanta.
