Airwatch on Hunt for More Office

Airwatch is on the hunt for more office space. Sources say Cali-based VMWare Inc is eyeing both Central Perimeter and North Fulton County for some 60k SF of office space, expanding beyond its current 200k SF footprint at 1155 Perimeter Center West. VMWare's Michael Thacker declined to comment. But he recently told Atlanta Business Chronicle that Airwatch was "one of the rising stars in this company," and was experiencing "significant growth" in its business. Airwatch could be moving some jobs like customer service to cheaper real estate markets, but it was unclear if the growth at Airwatch in Atlanta was organic or due to relocations. The company is expected to decide on new space by year's end. [ABC]
