If at first it doesn't succeed, Grubb Properties will try, try again.

The developer is returning before Dunwoody city officials later this month for approval of a revised 20-acre development plan in the heart of Central Perimeter. Grubb is holding a public information meeting on July 31 at the Dunwoody City Council over its proposal to rezone the site to allow a mix of offices, retail and housing bordering a public park, the Reporter Newspapers reported.

The site encompasses three office buildings at Perimeter Center East that formerly housed Dunwoody's city hall. Grubb voluntarily withdrew plans in March for a massive mixed-use project that included 1,200 apartment units and a 19-story office tower at the site when city officials expressed concern about the project's density and number of apartment units.

If the council had officially voted down the project, Grubb would have been unable to come before the council again for another two years, according to the Reporter Newspapers.

It was unclear as of press time what Grubb's revised development would look like, but the firm did propose scaling back the number of units to a single high-rise apartment tower with 198 units before withdrawing its request.
