We got our mitts on the Cooper Carry rendering of the planned redevelopment of the former Great Gatsby's antique store in Chamblee. We learned that not only is Spruce Street Partners breaking ground this year on its planned transit-oriented mixed-use project on Peachtree Boulevard, but the developer is also partnering with TerwilligerPappas on a 597-unit apartment complex on the site. Here's a first look at the Cooper Carey design. Spruce Street's JR Connolly is looking for a natural grocer and a coffee shop to anchor the 80k SF commercial space portion. "We're not ready to announce our tenants, but we do plan to start construction later this year," JR says.
