Behind Pope & Land's Mega Industrial Project

Pope & Land is taking steps to move forward on its next development—a mega industrial project in Coweta County.

The developer filed plans with regional planners for Bridgeport Industrial, described in docs as a more than 1,000-acre heavy and light industrial campus that could include 7M SF of manufacturing, nearly 300k SF of R&D, 120k SF of training facilities, more than 700k SF of warehouses and 100k SF of office. Why now is unclear as officials with Pope & Land did not return calls seeking comment. But the site is listed as one of Georgia's mega-sites, showcased to corporate prospects.
