Thanks to tech giant move-ins such as NCR and WorldPay, Atlanta's data center market is feeling the love. More than 10 megawatts of data-driven power have been absorbed so far this year, which is good news just hours before some of Atlanta's top data center players converge for Bisnow's 2016 Data Center Outlook.

JLL's latest Data Center Outlook report indicates Atlanta's more than 2M SF of inventory and 400 megawatts of available data storage are about to get a boost as more space comes online. According to JLL, nearly 100k SF of data center space and 11.36 megawatts are vacant, with another 44k SF underway and an additional 121k SF planned. Total, that could mean an additional 35 megawatts of capacity.

"Demand is coming from a combination of enterprise server rooms that are migrating out of non-co-location facilities," JLL officials state, "and new operators from outside Atlanta that are now entering the market."

Come hear more about the state of the industry at our 2016 Data Center Outlook at 7:30am tomorrow at the Georgia Tech Hotel & Conference Center, with such panelists as Carter Validus' John Regan, Internap's Mike Higgins, Zayo Group's William Souder and QTS' Butch Goldi. Register here.
