| Alston was one of three law firms to make the Top 10 by size list, including Kilpatrick Stockton's renewal at 1100 Peachtree and Greenberg Traurig's move to Terminus 200. But perhaps the most notable trend seen in 2010 was that renewals ruled the day, says Newmark Knight Frank's John Poulos. And many of these were companies downsizing from larger spaces. "As you can tell, most of these are stable tenants that know what's happening with them," John tells us, adding they were able to secure long-term leases at very favorable terms. And it's a trend that will continue next year, forcing landlords to be aggressive much earlier before lease expiration to keep the tenants they have, John says. |
