SENIOR FACILITY IN EAST POINT

This is more exciting than movie previews: a first look at plans for a new senior living  facility in East Point. Prestwick Development Co. has purchased the former King Building  from Citizens Trust Bank. Richard Bowers & Co. repped the bank. The long-vacant 50K SF  office building is at 1311 E. Cleveland Ave. The hope is that this development—called Gateway East Point—will spur more redevelopment in the area. Developers are getting a boost from Neighborhood Stabilization Program funds, awarded by the Georgia Housing and Finance Authority.
