Early this morning, Swiss company ABB announced it will pay more than $1B to acquire Atlanta-based Ventyx, which makes software to manage power grids. ABB manufactures power-transmission gear. Ventyx is HQ'd at 3301 Windy Ridge Parkway at Wildwood in Cobb County (above). It operates in more than 40 countries, and its customers include power utilities, as well as industrial businesses. With 900 employees, Ventyx last year posted revenues of $250M.
