The City of Peachtree Corners has jumped into the fray to buy the 20-acre parcel across from The Forum shopping center that was slated to become an apartment and retail development. Lennar Multifamily Investors Chris Cassidy confirms the newly formed city is in talks to buy the Peachtree Parkwayparcel from Lennar, whichbought it from Roberts Realtyearlier this year for the above project. Sources say the move is to prevent apartments from sprouting up in the city limits; calls to Peachtree Corners mayor Mike Mason and city manager Julian Jackson were not returned by press time. A source says the city wants to resell the property to those whose vision is more in line with the city's.
