NO TRUMP CARD

The bids are in and the winner is ... no one. No party is under contract for the former Trump Towers site at 15th and West Peachtree streets, says JLL's Scott Cullen.

 

Scott was tapped by owner GE Capital to sell the site. Plans for two 48-story condo towers fell apart after Dezer Properties and local partner Wood Partners went quiet and the 1.5-acre site was foreclosed. Scott says the first round (bids were due Aug. 27) did not achieve the price GE Capital was hoping for. "We're still talking to several folks," Scott tells us. He did say many of the interested buyers wanted to rezone the site for a variety of potential projects-from office to mixed-use, and even just a buy-and-hold approach. No word yet on if GE Capital will go back for another round of bids.
