NEW RESTAURANT AT THE PARK

In addition to the Hall of Fame, Centennial Park is getting a new restaurant. The concept (no name yet, but rendering above) is based on Shake Shack in Madison Square Park in New York City. You can look forward to burgers, hot dogs, fries, and milkshakes, order-at-the-counter style with patrons eating outside. The architect, Gabriel Richard with Turner Associates Architects, tells us his design (a renovation of the existing Fountainside Caf and visitors center) aims to make the building stand out: ?It will have a pretty dramatic form on the fountain-side to get people?s attention.? Look for a soaring roof. The plan is to open before July 4.
