New Brewery Headed for Downtown

Selig Partners' 1738 Macarthur Blvd is the subject of a permit recently filed with the City of Atlanta for renovations to make way for a Scofflaw Brewing Co in Atlanta. The permit will allow Selig to finish the build-out of the brewery in the 18,400 SF facility off Marietta Boulevard next to Crest Lawn Memorial Park. According to the brewery's Facebook page, it's already looking to hire an “experienced brewer” (we assume someone who isn't making foul-tasting stuff in their kitchen, so we won't apply). The company, owned by Matt Shirah, has been in the planning stages for some two years, and is finally expected to open next year.
