Is Kroger "Project Jasper?"

Could Kroger Co be headed to Charlie Brown Airport with a massive warehouse? That's the word on the street this morning. (Don't be surprised if you see it on TMZ soon.)

Sources tell us that Majestic Realty is attempting to lure a massive Kroger refrigerated distribution facility to the Charlie Brown Field off Fulton Industrial Boulevard for an industrial development project that could include 2.6M SF in three buildings. This is the same 1M SF-plus requirement that Kroger was eyeing to build at the Fort Gillem redevelopment, sources say. The Fulton County Commission was set to discuss Majestic's "Project Jasper," a "multi-million dollar development" this morning, according to its agenda. Majestic's Stan Conway (above, last holiday season with Majestic's Angela Jandoc  and  Dani Campbell) was unavailable for comment. And Kroger spokesman Glynn Jenkins they "cannot comment on rumors of this distribution facility."
