Can you relive the thrilling experience of children trying to kill children for sport in Bartow County? That's apparently the plan for Avatron, a planned theme park dedicated to Lionsgate's mega-blockbuster The Hunger Games. According to information from the development team—including local developer David Garrett (here)—Lionsgate entered into a licensing agreement to offer up Hunger Games, Step Up and Now You See Me film franchises as themes to the park. Attractions could include gaming venues and "innovative storytelling platforms" for fans of the franchises, officials say. "Perhaps what sets Avatron apart is the highly individualized experience we are creating for the end user. Our interactive platforms cannot be replicated to scale inside the home," says Avatron president Jo Ram.
