From a new dinner-and-a-movie theater, and an “iconic” pedestrian bridge to a high-profile incubator program, Peachtree Corners Mayor Mike Mason outlined some big plans for metro Atlanta's newest city despite the recent departure of Fiserv. Mike spoke to a small audience Thursday morning at 6252 The Corners Pkwy during a JLL shindig with building owners Glenfield Capital. He says the city has identified a building it plans to lease to create an incubator that will be licensed to Georgia Tech's ATDC program, which will then sublease space to tech startups. The city ultimately has to approve the deal (scheduled for a vote this month), but Mike says Georgia Tech should start offering incubator classes for startups at the space by October.

The Mayor also confirmed that Cinebistro is coming to the second phase of Fuqua Development's Peachtree Corners project across from the popular Forum on Peachtree Parkway off GA 141, where Sprouts recently opened. Aside from a two-acre green space that's part of the project, Mike says Fuqua leader Jeff Fuqua (here) plans to add space for 10 new restaurants. 

He also says the city has tapped John Wieland Homes to develop a townhouse project on land formerly sited for apartments at the intersection of 141 and Peachtree Corners Circle. The site will be connected via a pedestrian bridge coming from The Forum and depositing at what he dubbed the Peachtree Corners Botanical Gardens. “It'll be an iconic bridge. It'll be the wow factor you want there,” he told the audience.
