GEORGIA BANKS NOT OUT OF WOODS

Georgia is still reeling as ground zero from the banking crisis. The state still has more potential failing banks than any other state. And Trepp expects quite a few more bank failures here. That could continue to keep credit for developers and CRE pros tight in Georgia for the foreseeable future, Trepp's senior managing director Manus Clancy tells us. Still, if there's any way to put  lipstick on the pig, Manus says Trepp expects fewer bank takeovers this year than in 2010.
